Crouch End Picturehouse
Originally opening in 1911 as the Picture House Cinema at 165 Tottenham Lane, it was renamed the Perfect Picture House around 1925. In 1929, after a renovation and the installation of Western Electric sound equipment, it became the Plaza Cinema. During World War II, it was damaged in an air raid and subsequently demolished. In the late 1950s, Rosebery House was constructed on the same site, becoming the basis for Crouch End Picturehouse. It's the only remaining example of 1950s–60s Modernism in the area, and award-winning architects Panter Hudspith incorporated Modernist elements into the cinema's refurbishment.

The Gate, Notting Hill (Picturehouse)
Opening on April 15, 1911, as the Electric Palace, this cinema initially accommodated 480 visitors (280 seated and an additional 200 standing). From the 1950s onwards, the cinema earned acclaim for showcasing cutting-edge and experimental films, as well as repertory art-house selections. A change in ownership in 1974 introduced its new name, The Gate. It became part of the Picturehouse group in 2003 and underwent comprehensive renovation in 2004.
